Dr. Galit Shaul was invited to join The Greater Miami Jewish Federations’ Women’s’ Study Tour 2018 (WST18) at a special meeting in light of the upcoming municipal elections in Israel. Wepower formed a coalition focusing on increasing the involvement or women in municipal leadership, of which the Rackman Center is a member.
At the panel, each representative presented an outline of how they were addressing the specific issues of the elections and Dr. Galit Shaul chaired a discussion to learn about the challenges and plans for various sectors of the community. Of course, it is even more apt that Dr. Galit Shaul was part of this event, as she will be standing for mayor of Emek Hefer in the forthcoming municipal elections. We wish her much luck!
This was a truly fascinating event, and we thank The Greater Miami Jewish Federation for their continued support and interest, not only into our work but in the whole range of issues women face in Israel today.
