Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari is the founding head of the Ruth and Emanuel Rackman Center for the Advancement of the Status of Women at Bar-Ilan University, which aims to improve women’s status and bring an end to gender discrimination and inequality in Israeli society. She is also the vice chair of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, and a renowned Israeli legal scholar, known for work on feminist legal theory.
Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari is the only one on the list from Israel, and was nominated for her achievements as a renowned Israeli legal scholar, known for work on feminist legal theory, for her work as Founding Head of the Rackman Center at Bar Ilan University, and also for her work as Vice chair of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women
