Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari is named as one of top 100 most influential people in Gender Policy in 2018

Congratulations to Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari on being named one of the most influential people in gender policy in 2018 by Apolitical, alongside some of the most incredible women and men from around the world. Prof. Halperin-Kaddari was named alongside Justin Trudeau – Prime Minister, Canada, Julia Gillard – Former Australian PM and Chair of Global Institute for Women’s Leadership (Kings College), Amina Mohammed – Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and Michelle Bachelet – Ex-Chilean President and Executive Director of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

Nominations were received from dozens of gender experts from national governments, international organizations, academia and NGOs. Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kaddari is the only one on the list from Israel, and was nominated for her achievements as a renowned Israeli legal scholar, known for work on feminist legal theory, for her work as Founding Head of the Rackman Center at Bar Ilan University, and also for her work as Vice chair of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women.
