In preparation for the new school year, we held, at The Rackman Center, an orientation day for students of the Clinic for Legal Aid for Women in Family Matters, students in psychotherapy and coaching and for group facilitators who accompany and support women who are in separation and divorce proceedings.
The head of the center, Prof. Ruth Halperin-Kadri, and the CEO, Adv. Keren Horowitz, presented the main activities of the center along with the goals and objectives for the coming year. The participants also heard from the heads of the units of the center a review of: the field of family law in Israel, the work of the legal aid line and the work of Bruce and Ruth Rappaport Advocacy and Legislation Unit.
One of the most powerful moments during the day was a meeting with a woman who received legal representation as well as emotional support from the center.
This year, too, we will continue to provide women with a holistic solution – legal advice and representation, and at the same time, for those who need it, emotional support within a group or individually.
