On Sunday Prof.Ruth Halperin-Kaddari, as a representative of CEDAW (The Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women), spoke at the opening night of the Human Rights filmfestival “Mensch!” at the Cinematheque in Tel-Aviv. A great opening night with the Ambassadors of Austria, Germany and Switzerland, and the screening of the wonderful documentary “Everything is under control”. Prof. Halperin-Kaddari’s speech was very touching, highlighting the importance of women’s rights and the existence of CEDAW.
