The Center operates in light of the late Rabbi Emanuel Rackman’s vision of promoting women’s rights and improving the status of women in Jewish family law.

The Women and Family Law Legal Aid Program provides quality personal legal aid to women on matters of family law either through full legal representation or through initial telephone consultation via our helpline.
The Rackman Center operates several programs that provide emotional support to women who are in the process of divorce: Short-term emotional therapy provided by MSW students, support groups, “A Woman by Your Side” – support provided by a volunteer once a week.
