State to give official accreditation to women Torah scholars

Israel’s Attorney General has determined that women must be allowed to take State exams certifying proficiency in Jewish law that–until now–were closed to them by the Chief Rabbinate. The decision comes in response to a Supreme Court case brought by The Rackman Center together with ITIM and Kolech:Religious Women’s Forum.
