The coalition’s commitment to the fight against sexual violence and domestic violence – a letter to Incoming Prime Minister Netanyahu

The Rakman Center, together with other organizations, appealed to the incoming Prime Minister to clearly and decisively commit to the importance of fighting sexual and domestic violence and place this at the top of the public agenda.

Following attacks from elements in the expected coalition against this fight to end gender-based violence, we wrote to Netanyahu: “The fight against sexual violence and violence against women, in general, is not and should not be subject to political negotiations, and it should not be made subject to coalition considerations. This is not a fight of specific political parties,  just as the perpetrators do not distinguish between political positions, religious affiliation or the gender of the victims. Eradication of this violence must be a national mission that crosses political camps.”
