Protection Orders with Electronic Monitoring in Israel: A Success Story

Since 2015, the Rackman Center has promoted the Electronic Monitoring law. This law allows courts to track potentially violent partners. In 2020, we drafted the bill. It was presented by then MK Keren Barak.

Since August 6, 2024, an amendment to the Prevention of Violence in the Family Law allows Israeli courts to enforce protection orders using electronic monitoring bracelets.

Recently, a woman represented by the Rackman Center successfully obtained a protection order with electronic monitoring. The court found that she faced a high level of danger. This met the conditions set by the law. She was represented by Attorney Shir Wolman on behalf of the Rackman Center.

Everyone should know that it is possible to file a request for a protection order with electronic monitoring at any magistrate or family court in Israel. If you feel threatened, especially by someone who previously violated a protection order, do not wait. File a request today. Protect yourself and your loved ones.
